HORSHAM police have charged two Horsham youths with arson after attacks on two Horsham houses in a Dimboola Road development site.
Detective Senior Constable Neil Roberts said police charged a Horsham male, 14, and a Robinvale male, 16, with arson, criminal damage and burglary.
He said police would charge two Horsham females, aged 13 and 14, and a Horsham male, 16, on summons.
Country Fire Authority Region 17 operations officer David Chugg said the fire caused damage worth $15,000 to $20,000.
Mr Chugg said 15 Horsham volunteer fire fighters attended the house fire at Dimboola Road, Horsham, at 4.20am Wednesday.
"The fire started in an outside spa, an outdoor living area and entered the front room and the roof space," he said.
Mr Chugg said Horsham brigade controlled the fire at 4.35am.
Horsham Police Sergeant Brendan Khan said the house was unoccupied and developers were preparing the house for relocation.
Sgt Khan said the youths tried to light a fire at a second house, next door.
