 Roos coach to consider future

Roos coach to consider future

18/08/2008 11:57:00 AM
DIMBOOLA will be advertising their senior coaching position for 2009, as coach Matt Everett weighs up his future.

Everett said he was unsure whether he would lead the Roos again.

"At this stage I am not sure," Everett said.

"I told the club that I didn't know whether I want to do the job again next year."

He said a lack of commitment from players was the reason he was weighing up his football future.

"There has been a lack of commitment this year from the guys and that is the difference between being successful and not," he said.

"From the start of the season players weren't completely committed to the club, and it makes you question whether it is worth it."

Everett said he enjoys coaching and it would be a tough decision.

"In the next few weeks we will have to see where the club is at, and where I am at," he said.

"I will be giving it a lot of thought and thinking about it very seriously."

Everett said if he didn't resume the role he wasn't sure where his football future would lie.

"I don't know how I would go playing at the club under someone else," he said.

"And I haven't thought about whether I would leave."

Everett said he would give his future more thought when he has tied up all his commitments with Dimboola.
