Stars on the move?

HORSHAM United key position player Josh Mibus's future remains in limbo as he keeps tight-lipped about whether he will remain with the Diggers in 2009.

Mibus suffered severe facial injuries in the opening seconds of Wimmera Football League's interleague campaign in May which ended his season.

Rumours have since been rife about where the multiple Victorian Country Football League medal winner's future might lie next season.

Mibus said he had yet to make a decision about his playing future, or whether he would also pursue a coaching role.

"I don't know yet, I have not made any decision at this stage," Mibus said.

Mibus would not disclose whether he had been approached by other clubs, but would make his decision public after he had made it.

He said a decision would have no set time frame.

"I am not sure yet, but it will probably be at the end of the season after all the awards and everything have been announced," he said.

Mibus said he had not had much to do with the club since he had been sidelined because of work commitments in Hamilton during the week, and working on home extensions at weekends.

In a major blow for the league, elite Stawell forward Brent Tuckey confirmed he would not be playing for the Warriors next season.

Tuckey said the weekly travel between Melbourne and Stawell had finally taken its toll.

Tuckey, a former AFL player for Collingwood and West Coast, returned to his home club as an assistant coach last season, winning the prestigious Toohey Medal and guiding the Warriors to a grand final. He was unsure of his football future but said he had received many inquiries.
