WIMMERA basketball export Aaron Bruce continues to impress teams in the United States in the lead up to the NBA draft.
Bruce, 23, took part in a six- man try-out on Thursday and had his best session so far.
Aaron's father, Steve Bruce, said his son was `rapt' with his performance.
"He had a great session. He said it was the best workout he has had so far," he said.
The try-out session was performed for a number of NBA teams, including Washington Wizards and LA Clippers.
In one drill Bruce hit 26 of 27 three-point shots.
"He said he just had a dream session and impressed all the scouts who were watching," Steve Bruce said.
Aaron has been compared to some prominent NBA players, including two-time NBA most valuable player Steve Nash.
"Aaron's agent had been talking to a number of scouts," Steve Bruce said.
"He said the scouts described Aaron as Steve Nash with better shooting skills. That is very big praise."
Bruce is now in Dallas, Texas, preparing to try-out with the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday and possibly other try-outs later in the week.
Despite his good form Bruce is still no certainty to get drafted but will be in a strong position to join an NBA team for summer league matches and then training camp which is where coaches finalise their teams for the new season.
The NBA draft is on June 27 and will be broadcast on Foxtel's ESPN channel at 9.30am.
